Nosotros Filmmakers Network
The Nosotros Filmmakers Network, NFN, is composed of members whose collective creative interest is to produce electronic visual media projects. The group consists of writers, directors, producers and actors some of whom have extensive theoretical as well as hands on experience producing and directing films and television professionally in various capacities.
The goal of the NFN is to further develop the talents of their members by providing a lab type experience collaborating in group initiated productions from development of a concept to marketing and promoting completed projects such as films, documentaries, commercials, and PSAs.
The NFN is open to all whose interest is to produce visual media irregardless of experience but they must be decidedly committed to learning this craft and ready to be mentored by more experienced members. Up to date, as a group and also individual members have completed and participated in many projects that are of film festival quality.
The 'S' Word – Synopsis
“HONEY, CAN YOU TAKE ME SHOPPING?”
Every man has heard these dreaded words! It’s like being on a firing squad!
FREDDY ORTA is the everyman protagonist who has accepted the mission of taking his girlfriend VANESSA shopping. When Freddy arrives with Vanessa at the shopping boutique, the adventure begins. Immediately he looks for the “man couch,” you know the small sofa or chaise that surreptitiously exists in these stores. You go into any woman's clothing store in any mall and there is always a couch or chair with a guy sitting in it. Just sitting. Waiting. With that forlorn look and a panorama of beautiful women abound. With a guest appearance by Freddy’s DAD, it becomes a covert operation as Freddy accepts his mission.
The ‘S’ Word is the story of Freddy Orta’s crazy, comedy adventure when he steps into the excruciating foray of shopping with his girlfriend. It is a homage to all the men who have had the lovely experience of taking their girlfriend/wife shopping.
The ‘S” Word is the second production of The Nosotros Filmmakers Network. It was written and directed by Nosotros member, Kevin Sifuentes, produced by Nosotros members Kevin Sifuentes, Joey Mendez and Fernando Luis, Co-Produced by Cedric Griego and Chris Figueroa , and Associated Produced by Rafael Calderon and Henry Priest. It includes a star filled Nosotros cast with Kikey Castillo, Jessica Morales, Antonio Vega, Kevin Sifuentes, Rafael Calderon, Fernando Luis and Nicole Ortega.
